Event Planner Shi is a Portland-based wedding and event planning company founded by Shi Choong, a Malaysian Chinese immigrant, former Intel senior engineer, former TEDx license-holder/organizer, and PhD analytical chemist who left corporate life to build a business around what she loves: bringing people together.

Shi specializes in intercultural weddings and meaningful celebrations, helping couples blend cultures, traditions, families, and their own personalities into a celebration that truly feels like them. Beyond weddings, she produces community events, conferences, and experiences including Her Fire Within, a storytelling platform amplifying women who break barriers and rewrite the stories they were given.

Shi brings the problem-solving mind of an engineer, the heart of a storyteller, and a deep love for community to everything she creates. Based in the Portland metro area and serving Oregon, SW Washington, and beyond.
